Minnie Catherine Long Wolfe's Obituary
Minnie Catherine Long Wolfe, passed from this life on November 25, 2020 at the age of 65 in Tulsa. She was born to the late Thomas Long and Mattie (Fixico) Long on November 6, 1955 in Holdenville. Minnie was a graduate of Mounds High School class of 1973. She was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church and loved singing Creek Hymns. Minnie was a natural athlete that could play almost any sport. Her passion was her family and being able to go to her daughters sporting events and watching the Sasakwa Lady Vikings. If she wasn’t watching her girls play you could find her supporting, her other favorite team The Oklahoma Sooners.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Karen Long and Vicky Watashe, and nephew Bryan Beatty. Those left to cherish the memories of Minnie is her husband Rick Wolfe, daughters Kara and Rikki Wolfe, son Micah Wolfe and wife Francis, sisters Thomasine Long, Sidney Long, and Louann Messer, brothers Bob and Guy Long, uncle Dave Long, aunt Pat Booker, cousins Wanda Jo Aultman, Steven Long, Beverly Long, Gary Long, Phyllis McKane, Edmond Coker, Philip Booker, and Cindy Golightly, longtime friends Debbie Jimboy, Debbie Burgess, Bernadine Dowdy, and Mindy Wilson, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Newtown United Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Heather Jones, and Reverend Dave Long officiating. Viewing will begin at 1:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Monday, November 30, 2020 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. In honor of Minnie, the family would like to invite those that will be attending the service to leave in procession from the funeral home to the cemetery at 1:15 P.M..
