Lois Kolakowski Walker of Okmulgee entered Beulah Land on Sunday morning June 6th, 2021 after suffering a major stroke. Lois was born in Welty, Oklahoma on September 6th, 1941 to Wilburn and Leora Baldridge and attended school in Read Obituary
Auntie, we miss you so much. Thank you for leaving us such wonderful memories. One of the first was as a child riding around Okmulgee with you on your convertible! The many hundreds of times of staying all night with you and Uncle Jack and my cousins. The aunts and uncles and all the family going to Grandma and Grandpa Baldridge’s to sit around and watch you and the others play and sing the hours away. You were an excellent cook and also the times we’d be at your house and all the grownups playing monopoly and seeing who could cheat the best! Lol! I went on my first date with Charlie when I lived with ya’ll. You treated him like one of your own. We love you snd miss you. Please give my Daddy a big ole hug for me.

I didnt get to spend much time with Lois but the time I did have she always had a smile and a hug for everyone. She will missed.
There is not a beauty queen, a royal queen, or a screen queen that can match the beauty of a “Godly woman,” and Lois was most definitely a “Godly Woman.” She was the “real deal!” She was my friend, and I will forever cherish the fun we had and the many songs she laid on my heart.
My Aunt Lois was sooo much fun. She was always happy. Her nieces and nephews gravitated to her home throughout her life. I can remember as a kid I loved to go to her house. Her house was so fun. I can remember on many occasions she would let me and Carrie go to her room and play dress up. We could wear her heels, jewelry, and any dress we wanted. I have often remembered those times. She loved the lord and life. She lived each day to it’s fullest. I always thought of Aunt Lous as someone who always tried to grab the brass ring. Not so she could be better than you but because she wanted to be better and experience all life had to offer. I believe Aunt Lois enjoyed life and I am sure she is Enjoying Heaven!!
I can remember her and Jack coming to Konawa to sing at dads church. The first time I met Jack he told me to call him fat Jack or fat Indian. Well Aunt Lois was there beside me and she had to stop dad from getting me. They told dad that it was okay because they told me to call him that. From that point on he was fat Jack or fat Indian! Lol I love and miss him and I'm going to miss her to.
Lois was the sweetest Lady you could ever meet. My family has known her forever and used to sing together in Church. She will be missed. My prayers and thoughts are with her family.
So many memories of her. She probably sang at a thousand funerals I conducted. I have been friends with her family too. If she’s not in heaven, no hope for the rest of us. Rest In Peace.
