I remember him as a really nice man who seemed to always be able to laugh. When I was a boy he gave me a pair of homing pigeons that I truly enjoyed. Another member of the neighbor hood has left but the memories are good ones.

my uncle James was a very good man, He was always laughing! He loved talking or sharing stories with anyone who would listen. Loved hunting, fishing, and having fun with his great grandchildren. He will be missed by all. Love and miss you!

My Papa was one of the greatest men I have ever had the pleasure of knowing! He was more of a dad to me then he was a grandfather! I might not have liked what he had to say but I always knew he only wanted the best for me! Not a day will go by that he wont cross our minds. It saddens us to hear about the loss of a wonderful man. Mr Pope was such a sweet and gentle soul and was so full of joy. He was also a wonderful patient and he always kept the staff in good spirit and on their feet. Always had a smile on his face and very good words of encouragement. Mr Pope will most definetly be missed by so many including us the nursing stuff of George Nigh. We are thinking of you during this time of loss and you all are in our thoughts and prayers.... James Pope and I have been Friends or over 40 Years.
I have always looked forward to my visits with him.
I well remember the Hours he spent with me while he worked as a Reserve Police Officer.
James will be missed by many.
