Hattie Ida Holdaway's Obituary
Hattie Ida Holdaway was born June 4, 1916 and died January 30, 2014 at the age of 97.
Hattie was born in Hammond, Missouri to the late Park & Corda (Absher) Hash. She married Alonzo Otto Holdaway (Deceased) on November 12, 1934 in Davenport and from this marriage there were four children, Fred Holdaway, Neta Carlene Slayton, Johnny Delbert Holdaway (Deceased) and Ronnie Gene Holdaway. She had twelve grandchildren, many great and great great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and raising flowers. She collected salt and pepper shaker sets from all over the world. She worked at the Senior Citizen Center at Beggs, Oklahoma as a cook’s helper for many years.
Funeral services will be held at the Nuyaka Baptist Church on Monday, February 3, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Reverend Jarrod Kendall will officiate. Interment will follow in the Davenport Cemetery, Davenport, Oklahoma. Casketbearers will be James Crossland, Scott Lewis, Lance Riley, Bob Kelley, Rusty Copenhaver and J. D. Chambers. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
