Aunt Dorothy, Dale & Glenda & Family, Tracy & Carolyn & Family, Dottie & Ken & Family, Scotty & Carrie & Family, and Uncle Ted & Aunt Carolyn & Family;
Uncle Glen was certainly one of those individuals who made his mark on the world. He was proof that one doesn't have to be eloquent, wealthy, or boisterous to leave behind something valued and precious. He made people smile one Glen Harris puzzle at a time. There is just no telling where all those puzzles are located or how many hands they've passed through over the years. But those puzzles were just a small part of him. His family was his jewels. He wore them proudly and with honor.
I remember going to your house as a child and being in awe of everything he provided for you. He and Aunt Dorothy made sure you had musical instruments and in the process gave you years of enjoyment and a love of music from deep within. Music has been a big part of the Harris tradition. He enjoyed every minute of your abilities.
I also recall fondly your many trips to the farm with mini bikes and motorcycles in tow. The hours upon hours of fun that ensued and even though it seems like a lifetime ago, it went by with just the blink of a moment in time.
God is merciful and good to us. I trust he will comfort and keep you in your time of grieving. Knowing there will be another greeting time and place, keep your eye on that day. Live life grandchildren in a way that will assure you of that meeting with your precious grandfather again.
My family and I are broken hearted for your loss but so very grateful for having been given the blessing of having Glen Harris as my Uncle for fifty-five years. God must truly love us!
