George W Snow's Obituary
George W Snow was born February 10, 1938 in Rosston, Oklahoma to the late Emlin and Zella (Fox) Snow. He passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 in Tulsa at 78 years of age. George began his military career in the U.S. Navy and later retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1977. He was a Vietnam Veteran. He later became a Diesel Fuel Injection Instructor at OSU-Okmulgee where he retired in 1992. George enjoyed farming and ranching and especially working on old tractors. He was a member and past president of the Green Country Tractor Club and was a member of the Church of Christ of Morris, Oklahoma.
George was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings, Susie Harrison, Edgar Snow, Lewis Snow and Evelyn Nelson.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Snow, of the home, son, Danny of Okmulgee, daughter, Paula of Tulsa, two grandchildren, Allyson and Connor, four siblings, Martha Hosler and husband Marvin of Woodward, Gloria Meliza of Florida, Eva Brooks of Dallas and Dorothy Treat of Ft. Supply and numerous nieces and nephews
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Church of Christ in Morris. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M.
Memorial contributions may be made in George’s memory to the Little Lighthouse, 5120 E 36th Street, Tulsa, OK 74135.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
