Delores Jeanette Bendure's Obituary
Delores Jeanette “Momma Lee” Bendure, 76, died peacefully at home and surrounded by her family on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Delores was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma on September 29, 1934 to Lee and Lucille (Cline) Seymour. She graduated from Tonkawa High School. On August 23, 1955 at the family farmhouse she married Forrest Loren Bendure. Momma Lee was a woman of many talents and a true artist. There was nothing she couldn’t do. Sewing, leatherwork, woodcarving, carpentry, decorating faberge type eggs, decorating cakes, roofing and anything else she could do is just a short list of her many talents. She loved the Lord and her family was her life.
Momma Lee was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of more than 55 years, Forrest, of the home, two daughters: Linda Harrell and husband Jerry of Oklahoma City, Donna Prior and husband John of Morris, and two grandchildren: Cameron Harrell and Courtney Harrell.
The family would like to thank the Crossroads Hospice for their love and care.
A celebration of Momma Lee’s life will be held at the Crest Baptist Church in Midwest City on Friday, March 25, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 6465 S. Yale Ave. Suite 312 Tulsa, OK 74136-7804.
