Dale Rouk's Obituary
Dale Stewart Rouk, 79, passed away January 1, 2017 in Burleson, Texas. He was born August 22, 1937 to the late Charles and Helen (Bebe) Rouk in Beggs, Oklahoma. Dale was the founding member of the Pan Handle Team Pinners Association of Amarillo and instrumental in the creation of two horse sales organizations, Ocala Breeders Sales and Keenland Sales Company, of which he was part of for 45 years. He was also two time Breeder of the Year of the Texas Thoroughbred Breeder’s Association.
Preceding Dale in death are his parents, former wife Jane Marie Jones and brother Bill Rouk. Left to cherish the memories of Dale are his children Scott Rouk and wife Amy of Elk Ridge, Maryland and Cindy Cowell and husband Brent of Amarillo, grandchildren Taylor, Rachel, Bailey, and Zachary, great granddaughter, Olivia, sisters Nancy Jackson and husband Gary of Beggs, Billie Ruth Zavesky and husband Danny of Hallettsville, Texas and Jeanie Lester of Bakersfield, California, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 PM-8:00 PM.
Services for Dale will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Beggs with Reverend Chris Gore officiating. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Matt Jackson, Gary Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Pete Jackson, and Scott Rouk.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
