Walter Jones Jr.'s Obituary
Walter Jones, Jr. 57, a resident of Okmulgee, died in Okmulgee on Saturday, January 12, 2013. He was born to Walter and Mary (Yahola) Jones Sr. on September 2, 1955 in Okemah, Oklahoma. He graduated from Okmulgee High School and worked for the Muscogee Creek Nation as a Housing Inspector. Sen as he was known, never met a stranger, always had a smile, loved to share conversation. A sad time for Sen when he lost his brother, Fred. Fred was like a second father to him. He and brother Paul spent many days at his home playing games, card, marbles, and horseshoes. Sen immensely enjoyed family gatherings and family reunions. The casinos were a great pastime to play and visit with others. Enjoyed spending time with his nieces and great nieces. One special joy of his life, Whitney and Sen would often eat breakfast out, go fishing, enjoy a rodeo or circus, and take a swim. He would take her riding along the countryside roads, detailing precious childhood and young adult memories. Sen loved his family and heritage. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Jimmie, Paul, and Fred Jones, Robins father Robert (Bob) Molle, Sister Jodi Molle, and nephew Zac Brasier.
Survivors include his Loving Companion of twenty years Robin Molle, one brother Loper Jones of Shawnee, four sisters; Sally Goodvoice, of Okmulgee, Pauline and husband Amos Rabbit of Okemah, Linda and husband Don Minter of Okmulgee, and Ester and husband Jody Berryhill of Okemah, Robin’s mother Sally Molle, sister and husband Bobbi and Johny Crabtree, nephew Dylan Ringler, Great niece and Sen’s joy Whitney Brasier, and dear friend Wanda Wright, Marsha Collins and Lisa Juneau.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Wake service will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 6:00 pm. Funeral service will be Thursday, 1:00 PM at Montesoma Indian Church. Burial will follow in the Bear-Yahola-Jones Cemetery. Condolences may be made at mcclendon
