Toni Baughman's Obituary
Toni Kay Baughman 62, longtime resident of Okmulgee, died on December 31, 2009 in Okmulgee. Toni was born in Okmulgee on October 4, 1947 to Charles (Cookie) W. Reese and Theda Gertrude (Baker) Reese. She attended Okmulgee Schools and Oklahoma State Tech. In 1976, she started her career with the Okmulgee School System as a secretary aide at Okmulgee Eastside Elementary, retiring in 2003.
Toni was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Altar Society and an avid volunteer for the St. Anthony Food Pantry.
Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years Herbert L. “Chipper” Baughman of the home, one daughter; Shannon Baughman of Stillwater, OK, two brothers; Charles Cook Reese and wife Debbie of Ft. Worth, TX, John T. Reese and wife Nancy of Centreville, VA, two aunts; Dorothy Shaw of Oklahoma City, OK and Connie Reese of Okmulgee, a sister in law; Patty Kleinecke and husband John of Houston, Texas, nieces and nephews and friends.
Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 11:00 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Vima as celebrant. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Rosary service will be on Monday, 7 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be on Monday 1-7 pm. The family suggests memorials be made to the St. Anthony Food Pantry Fund.
