Todd R. Gresham's Obituary
Todd R. Gresham was born Sunday, August 17th, 1975 in Okmulgee, OK to Tony and Kathy (Hill) Gresham. He passed away at home in Okmulgee on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the age of 41. Todd graduated from Okmulgee High School in the Class of 1993. He was All-State in Tennis and Speech, and was a State Champion tennis player his Junior year.
He attended OSU-Okmulgee and Southwestern State University in Weatherford, OK, majoring in Visual Communications and Commercial Art. He was creative, generous, and a peacemaker. He was able to turn negatives into positives by the courage he displayed and the lives he touched. He was an inspiration to those who knew him.
Todd was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes at the age of 13, and never let it slow him down. He was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2008. He fought a hard battle against the disease for eight and a half years and succumbed to its complications in his sleep.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Johnny and Alice Hill, Milree Gresham and Paul Gresham, aunt Judy Sweeny, uncles Mike Gresham and Jackie Gresham.
He is survived by his parents Tony and Kathy Gresham of the home, brother Chris Gresham, aunt Julie Hill, uncle Bill Sweeney and wife Chris, aunt Kay Griffiths, cousins Jason Gresham and Patrick Gresham, Justin Sweeney, Johnny and wife Samandhi Sweeney, Robyn Sweeney, and his loyal dog Buddy.
At Todd's direction no service was held. Any who desire to do so, may make a contribution to the Myeloma Institute at UAMS, Little Rock, AR. Arrangements were under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
