Thomas Lee Matthews' Obituary
Thomas Lee Matthews born on April 4, 1949 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He left this place peacefully on March 11, 2010 to go fishing eternally after battling his illness of cancer at 60 years of age.
He is preceded in death by his mother Doloris Alice Matthews and his younger brother Richard Matthews.
He is survived by his wife Mary Matthews of the home in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. His children and grandchildren; Kristina Matthews and husband Erik Georgi, their children – Ambrosia, Ethan, Erik jr., Jason and April all of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Thomas Heath and Megan Matthews and their daughter Jasmyne Grace Matthews of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; Shaina and Allen Simpson and their children Dason and Kassie of Haskell, Oklahoma; Henry West Matthews of Schulter, Oklahoma; Chris Adams and family of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his father Hughie Matthews and wife Mary Matthews of Muskogee, Oklahoma, two brothers, Mark and Jeff Matthews.
He was a wonderful man that loved his family dearly. He was a loving husband and an awesome daddy. He was a hardworking man who loved his fishing. No matter what life threw at him, he never let it bring him down. Now daddy you can enjoy your eternal fishing trip, we know you’ll finally catch that big one.
Service will be held on Saturday, March, 13, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Living Way Tabernacle in Okmulgee, Oklahoma (corner of Eufaula and Oklahoma).
