Shelley Anne Brian's Obituary
Shelley Anne Brian died in Okmulgee on Tuesday, July 02, 2013 at 91 years of age. Shelley was born in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania on April 16, 1922 to Charles Walter and Anne Nevada (Neal) Lucas. She was married in Arkansas to James Allie Brian who preceded her in death on July 22, 1995. Shelley loved trips to Branson and after her husband’s retirement, going fishing on the lake. Her kids and grandkids were everything to her. She belonged to the Business Professional Women and was on the Okmulgee Cemetery Board. In the early 1960’s she went to work at the First National Bank in Okmulgee and retired in 1991 as Sr. Vice President.
Shelley was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Charlotte Lucas. She is survived by her four children: daughter Dr. Dana Brian of St. Paul, Minnesota, daughter Jill Holleman and husband Arthur of Okmulgee, son Buck Brian and wife Rhnea of Morris and son Dr. Michael Brian of Henryetta, seven grandchildren: Hanna, Heather, Cassie, BriAnne, Arthur III, Luke, and Jule, many great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and a host of other relatives, friends and business associates.
A funeral service celebrating Shelley’s life will be held on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend Jack Vance officiating.
