Sharon Darlene Wise

Sharon Darlene Wise was born on April 12, 1947, to Floyd and Willie Daniel. She attended Morris Public Schools and grew up in the Morris community she proudly called home throughout her life. On December 24, 1963, she married her best friend, Billy Neal Wise, in Morris. Their marriage of 62 years was an example of love, friendship, and devotion and served as an inspiration to all who knew them. Together they raised three children who were the greatest joy of their lives. As a family, the Wises traveled across the country making countless memories. Darlene and Neal later continued that tradition with their grandchildren, making sure they experienced those same special adventures. Darlene was a lifelong and faithful member of the Morris Church of Christ. She rarely missed a service, and her beautiful voice was often heard during the song service. She never missed an opportunity to bring a child to church. Lovingly known as “Mimz,” she regularly brought a car full of children with her so they could learn about faith and fellowship. Darlene was a passionate educator who, as the saying goes, “never worked a day in her life.” She taught for many years in both Morris and Okmulgee schools, touching the lives of countless students who loved and respected her. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Neal Wise; her daughter, Kasey Yerby and husband Jeff, of Stillwater; her sons, Deke Wise, of Morris, and Nicky Wise and wife Jami, of Morris; her grandchildren, Jessica Epp, Bryce Lewallen, Katey Nell, Jared Wise, and Jordan Pridemore; her great-grandchildren, Everett, Ellie, and Harper Epp, and Nash, Payton, and Tenley Lewallen; and special friends, Muriel Siegenthaler and Jan Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Willie Daniel; her brother, John Daniel; and her in-laws, Bill and Lula Wise. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 1:00P.M. at the Church of Christ in Morris, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local education program in honor of Darlene’s lifelong dedication to teaching and helping children. Arrangements and cremation services have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
