Roy Lee Moss Sr.'s Obituary
Roy Lee Moss, Sr. died in Tulsa on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 78 years of age. Roy was born on March 15, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma to Robert Cecil and Jessie Pearl (Hendricks) Moss. On May 28, 1954 he married Edna Smith. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Roy was a former partner at Mogar Industries. He enjoyed doing woodwork, making things for his grandkids. Roy loved being a Papa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Moss, and a sister Maxine Pherigo.
Roy is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Edna Moss of the home, three children: daughter Janet Marie Hancock of Owasso, son Roy Lee Moss, Jr. of Tulsa, and daughter Judy Ellen Striegel and husband Jim of Keefer, five grandchildren: Shanna Marie Williams, Charles Michael Hancock, Sarah Jean Hancock, Julia Sams and Matthew Headrick, nine great grandchildren: Ethan Hancock, Jacob Williams Blaze Sams, Alexandra Wilkins, Abigail Hancock, Noah Williams, Carson Lee Hancock, Rylan Sams and Olivia Sams, one sister Helen Moss and nephew Phillip Moss and wife Marina Kay.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Andrew Parker officiating. The family request memorial contributions be made to The Little Lighthouse, 918-664-6746.
