Ronald V. Ballard's Obituary
Ronald Victor Ballard, lovingly known as Ron, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born on October 20, 1956, in Tahlequah, OK, and resided in Beggs, OK.
Ron had a natural ability to connect with people, and growing up, he enjoyed spending hours talking to others over his CB radio. Although his Mother would occasionally encourage him to go to bed, Ron's passion for communication knew no bounds
From a young age, Ron had a passion for helping others. At just 14 years old, he began volunteering at the Beggs fire department, an experience that ignited his love for serving his community. Ron's commitment to public service extended beyond firefighting, as he also served in the National Guard, Mayor and Fire Chief of Beggs, and finally serving as County Commissioner for 16 years, making a significant impact on the lives of those he served.
In addition to his dedication to public service, Ron was a skilled electrician and had a successful career in that field.
One of his proudest accomplishments was raising his son Rick, who brought immense joy to his life. Ron cherished spending time with Rick and thoroughly enjoyed pestering his two granddaughters.
In Ron’s free time, nothing made him happier than being out on his land, surrounded by loved ones and close friends.
Ron will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to serving others. Ron's superpower was his ability to serve people, and he did so with humility and kindness.
He leaves behind a legacy of selflessness and a deep appreciation for the power of community. Ron will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. We know that we will see him again!!
Ron is preceded in death by his father Haskell Ballard and brother Robert Ballard.
Ron is survived by his mother Yvonne and step-father Danny Cox, brother Randy Ballard, sister Paula and husband James Miller, niece Kristin Miller, nephew Jacob Miller, great niece Paisleigh, aunt Alice Jean Fuller and family, son Rick and wife Jessica Ballard, Granddaughters Cadence and Gracie.
