Richard "Rick" Eugene Kelly's Obituary
“Boo” - Richard “Rick” Eugene Kelly, known by many as Fuzz or Fuzzy, passed from this life on March 13, 2012 at his Okmulgee home at the age of 62. He was born October 12, 1949 in Okmulgee to Arthur Leroy and Kathelene (Johnson) Kelly. He graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1969 and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. Rick was a carpenter, and enjoyed building things. He studied the Bible and testified to many people, while always praying for the sick. He was a member of the Cornerstone Foursquare Gospel Church. He taught his sons to play pool and enjoyed the time he spent with his granddaughters, always taking them balloons. He had many “adopted” pets, especially the birds and raccoon he cared for. Rick was preceded in death by his father in 2005. Survivors include his mother, Kathelene Kelly of Okmulgee, two sons, Thomas Lee Kelly and wife Brandi and Casey Joe Kelly and wife Regina, four granddaughters, Zoey Faith, Izabelle Grace, Katlynn and Allyssia, all of Tulsa, sisters, Gail Allred and husband Ron of Oklahoma City, Sandra Creek and husband Jerry and Debbie Herman and husband Steve, all of Collinsville, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 16, 2012 at the First Assembly of God Church with Reverend Raymond Doke officiating assisted by Reverend Jim Birch. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by VFW Post 1189 of Okmulgee and VFW Post 539 of Henryetta. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 12-8 and Friday 8-12. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kelly Family in lieu of flowers.
