Peggy Jean Merritt's Obituary
Peggy Jean Merritt, 71, died on Monday, July 23, 2012. Peggy was born January 20, 1941 in Pindell, Arkansas to George and Rose (Cambell) Mann. On December 26 1959 she married Albert G. Merritt. Peggy enjoyed crocheting but her grandkids were the love of her life. She attended the World Outreach Christian Center Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, grandson Ronald Lee Logsdon, brother Ray Mann and two sisters: Tara Mann and Cleo Mann.
Peggy is survived by her daughter Roseann Merritt, son Albert G. Merritt and wife Stephanie of Okmulgee, daughter Mary Cole and husband Marty of Antlers, twelve grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, sister Mary Jo Manns of Wilson, brother Alvin Mann and wife Gayla of Okmulgee, brother Bob Mann also of Okmulgee, many step children, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July27, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with pastor John Fisher officiating. Interment will follow at the Wilson Salt Creek Cemetery. Friends may view Peggy at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee on Thursday from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M. with the family present to greet guests from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
