Peggy Elaine Johnson's Obituary
Peggy Elaine Johnson, 71, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2026. She was born on June 10, 1954, to Gus and Hazel (Creekmore) Dugan.
Peggy worked as a nurse for many years, dedicating her life to caring for others with compassion and kindness. She enjoyed making fudge, especially during the holidays, always preparing plenty to share with family and friends. She loved playing with her cats and took great pride in keeping an immaculate home. Above all else, Peggy cherished spending time with her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Hazel, and brothers, Tony, David, and Mike Dugan.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Allen Ray Johnson Sr., sons, Allen Ray Johnson Jr. and significant other Leticia, Chris Johnson and wife Kelly, and Danny Curtis and wife Emily, daughter, Delisa Hardage and husband Jud, grandchildren, Zack McClary and wife Kristin, Abby Hardage, Drake Johnson, Haylee Johnson, Dray Curtis, and Morgane Dell and husband Darren, two great grandchildren and one on the way, and many other loving family members and friends.
Peggy will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and the many memories she created with those who knew and loved her.
A visitation for Peggy will be on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 12:00PM - 6:00PM, at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Interment will follow at the Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow at 2:30PM.
