Paula Irene Martin's Obituary
Paula Irene Martin passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 85. She was born on June 12, 1931 to the late Edward Benson and Stella (Jones) Benson in Ada Oklahoma. Paula married Roy "Dave" Martin on November 22, 1950 in Okmulgee. They lived in Albert, Kansas until 1986 and then returned to Okmulgee. In her spare time Paula loved cooking, reading, crocheting, sewing and playing dominoes. She enjoyed her time living at Baptist Village.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dave, parents, and nephew Clint Benson. Paula is survived by her daughter Margra Scheibe and husband Robert of Okmulgee, grandchildren Casandra Scheibe-Shower of Rowlett, Texas, John C. Scheibe of Richardson, Texas, David H. Scheibe of Rowlett, Texas, brother Phillip Benson of Henryetta, nephew Kevin Benson, niece Beverly Kiehl, great- grandchildren Hayden Scheibe, Paul Gonzales, and Isabelle Gonzales and great- great- grandson Damion.
Graveside service for Paula will be held on Saturday August 6, 2016 10:00 A.M. at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend Jarrod Kendall officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee. Arrangements have been entrusted to McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
