Orvel Wayne Wolf's Obituary
Orvel Wayne “Bub” Wolf passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at his Mounds residence. He was born February 20, 1943 in Bixby to the late Orvel and Alta (Hardester) Wolf. Orvel married Patricia Ann Weese on January 19, 1960 in Sapulpa. He graduated from Jenks High School in 1961 and at the age of 19, started his own business. He currently owned Aceco Valve. Orvel enjoyed raising cattle and racing and showing horses. He liked to fish and take cruises, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Teena Kay Wolf, two sisters, Pauline Stout and Shirley Fuller and a brother, Donald Wolf.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patsy Wolf, a son, Larry Wayne Wolf and wife Tonya, grandchildren, Sheerston Rose Wolf, Orvel Wayne “DoLee” Wolf II, Dexter Dean Wolf, Brianna Ilene Matson, Morgan Delane Martin and Damian Eugene Martin, a great grandson, Wyatt Daniel Myers and a brother, Ronald Wolf.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Crossroads Baptist Church in Beggs with Reverend Travis Markes officiating. Interment will follow in the Bixby Cemetery. Casketbearers will be David Bright, Leo Brown, Brad Neal, Danny Snider, Mike Reed, Josh Dunegan, Patrick Cantrell, DoLee Wolf, Dexter Wolf, Damian Martin, Tanner Armstrong and Dalton Spring. Honorary casketbearers will be James Mosely, Brent Rich, David Miller, Adam Hamilton, Justin Ethridge, Shelby Davis, Richard Myers, Jeremy Van Straten, Steve Rucquoy and Keith Satterwhite.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M. and the family will be present to receive friends from 3:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
