Ora Mae Jimison's Obituary
Ora Mae Jimison, 81, passed away in Tulsa on August 7, 2009. Ora Mae was born in Carter, Oklahoma on January 31, 1928 to Theodore H. and Minnie F. (Hazelton) Teichmer.
She enjoyed gardening and bird watching but was the queen of cross-stitch for the Okmulgee and Beggs area. She took pride in her work and planned specific pieces for specific people and made the back look as neat as the front. Ora Mae was a faithful member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold L. Jimison on February 7, 1988, a daughter, Mary Alice, two sisters; Dorothy Hughey and Anna Bell Cornelius, and one brother, Guy Teichmer.
Ora Mae is survived by two nephews; John Hurst and wife Shirley from Mineral Wells, Texas and their family, Gene Hughey from Okmulgee and his family, one granddaughter, and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at the Okmulgee Cemetery on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. a memorial service will follow the interment at 3:00 P.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend Wayne Schuett officiating. Honorary casket bearers are Ted Jacobs, Elden Jarvis, Frank Holderness, Gary Harmon, Bob Franklin, and Jeff Schmeder. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
