Mary Dell Witt's Obituary
Mary D. Witt, longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away Monday morning April 27, 2026, at her home. She was 87 years of age. Mary was born Nov. 26,1939 in Verona, Arkansas to Lee Monroe and Lilly Ivon Huskey. She married Paul Witt on March 30, 1964, in Okmulgee, OK.
Mary enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, sewing, but most of all spending time with family and her grandkids. While being a stay-at-home mom she also was an Avon Representative.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 51 years Paul Witt and three brothers, W.G. Huskey, Odis Huskey, and Gus Huskey.
Survivors include her daughter Paula Edmonds and Randy of Morris, OK, son Gary Witt and Pamela of Morris, OK. One sister-in-law Oleta Huskey of Ft. Gibson. Grandchildren Derek Edmonds and Trisha, Kaylee Edmonds and David Reagor, Colton Witt and Alyssa, Garett Witt, Candace Cody and Kenneth, Josh Newby, Kiesha Donahue and Matthew.
Great Grandchildren, Chloe Edmonds, Weston Edmonds, Kaysen Reager, C.J. Witt, Callan Reagor, Budgie Cameron and Heather, Justin Cameron and Kimberly, Travis Cody, Tanner Cody, Raelynn Newby, Kymber Newby, Dakota Higgins and Brittney, Penny Buckaloo and Tyler, Coy Buckaloo, and Hannah Contreras.
Great Great Grandchildren Jude Lenox, Linny Lenox, Linkon Hawkins, Iris Cameron, Cirilla Cameron, Bellamy Willingham, Amirah Willingham, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 1, 2026 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplin Dr. Chris Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Derek Edmonds, Colton Witt, Garett Witt, Josh Newby, and Dakota Higgins.
Honorary Pallbearers Budgie Cameron, Justin Cameron, Coy Buckaloo, David Reagor, and Kenneth Cody.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday, April 30th from 12:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.
