Mary Lou Rowe's Obituary
Mary Lou Rowe was born on September 28, 1934 in Winchester, Tennessee to the late Richard Herbert and Eva Anna Hinshaw. She passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 in Okmulgee. Mary graduated from high school in Nuyaka. She married Albert Rowe on July 2, 1954.
Mary Lou served as a volunteer at the George Nigh Rehab Gift Shop for twenty years, and was also a member of the Priority Club. She loved spending time with family friends, and was an avid watcher of Thunder basketball. She also enjoyed music, and played the guitar and sang for a hobby in her youth.
Mary Lou is preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Karen Gaddis, of Ada, Kathy Little of Ada, and Kay Landes of Norman, six grandchildren: Todd Little, Stacy Garrett and husband Brandon, Brian Gaddis and wife Elisa, Brad Gaddis and wife Loren, Cory Landes and wife Michelle, and Camille Landes. She is also survived by her brother, Dan Hinshaw of Okmulgee, sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Hinshaw of Okmulgee, eight great-grandchildren, and ten nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Mary Lou will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Brandon Garrett officiating. Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family will be receiving visitors before the service on Monday afternoon, beginning at 12:30. Arrangements have been entrusted to McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
