Martha Hazel Brown's Obituary
REFLECTIONS OF A ROSE
On March 3, 1924 a bud was placed on a stem, as the bud bloomed a flower became a rose. This rose was a precious baby girl; born to Olin and Bessie DeVille, they named her Martha Hazel.
Martha gave her life to Christ at an early age at Spring Bluff Baptist Church in Beggs, Oklahoma. She attended school at San Bottom and went on to graduate from Beggs High School. Martha loved fishing, hunting and gardening. She also enjoyed helping other people with whatever was needed. She was employed with Don and Rhoda Baker for 25 years and also a dedicated cook at church.
At the age of 20 she moved to California where she met and married Naaman Brown. To this union, one son was born, Raymond Hilton Brown. They resided in California several years before they relocated back to Tulsa, OK.
Martha Hazel was proceeded in death by her husband, Naaman Brown, her mother and father and 25 siblings. She leaves to cherish her memories; her son Raymond, two sisters, DeOla Stanley and Florida Culton of Tulsa, OK and one brother, Frank Deville of Kansas City, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
