Marilyn Ramer's Obituary
Marilyn Ramer passed away on January 13, 2023, at her home in Broken Arrow at the age of 62. She and her twin sister were born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 12, 1960, to Truman and Wynona (Acton) Mattingly. Marilyn grew up in Okmulgee and she graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1979. She married Wayne Ramer and they were married 26 years before his passing in 2010.
Marilyn was known by her ability to shop, whether it be in store, on-line or through info-commercials. She loved to shop! Marilyn never passed up a good deal. She also enjoyed working in her yard and gardening. But more than anything she loved spending time with her family. Marilyn was adored by her children and grandchildren.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Truman and Wynona, and husband Wayne. She is survived by her daughters Christy Basquez, Tiffany Ramer and Paul Horn, son Michael Ramer, grandchildren Aspen Cottrell, Maddie Pilant, Kamryn Pilant, Nixon Burchfield, Jennifer Horn, Jade Horn, Kaedin Spears, and Claire Horn, a great grandson-Espen Cottrell, siblings Joe Acton, Jack B. Francis and wife Mary, Milissia Smith, Joann Walker and husband Robert, Julie Johnson, David John Mattingly and wife Robin, Carolyn Speaks and David Smith, and Rebecca Koenig and husband Roger. She leaves behind a host of cousins, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, with family visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the Apostolic Life Church with Pastor Steve Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
