Marcella Goudeau's Obituary
Marcella began earthly life May 25, 1939 in Beggs, Oklahoma, born to Virgust and Reba (Demery) Chatman. She was the second of twelve children with one sibling preceding her in death.
Marcella attended the Beggs school systems and was a proud member of the Wheatley Alumni. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age attending Spring Bluff Baptist, Beggs, Oklahoma where she remained an active, faithful and devoted member.
Marcella and Lawrence Goudeau became one on December 23, 1957 and were blessed with two beautiful sons.
Marcella loved her many talents that included being a caretaker to family and so many others. Her other favorites were her love of flowers and gardening, not to mention the encouragement and love expressed to others.
Marcella was preceded in her home going: devoted Husband Lawrence, Sr., always loving Parents, Nephew Richard Earl Henderson, III and Great Niece Kanisha Sanae Jackson.
Marcella leaves in her Savior’s hands: two sons, Lawrence, Jr. (Donnie), (Tandi) of Moore, Oklahoma and Hercules (Chuckie) of Beggs, Grandson, Jonathan (J.D.), four brothers: LaVirgust (Charlotte), of Oklahoma City; Lindver of Tulsa; Randall and Dwayne (Cecile) of Beggs, six sisters: Sophia Willie (Winfred) of Edmond, Oklahoma; Charity Chatman and Deloris Brown (Leroy) of Beggs: Martha Chatman, Laguitia Tate, and Janet Wilson (Willie) of Tulsa and a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, along with all family members loved so dearly.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church North, in Beggs with Reverend Robert Mingleton officiating. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery. Friends may visit the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs on Friday from 12:00 – 8:00 P.M.
