Mable Jane McCormack's Obituary
Mable Jane McCormack died in Okmulgee on August 17, 2013 at 84 years of age. Mable was born in Jenks on November 2, 1928 to John Lewis and Agnes (Creekmore) Hamilton. On September 2, 1974 she married Les McCormack. In her younger years she enjoyed hunting and fishing and then gardening, flowers and doing yardwork. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Beggs.
Mable was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Nancy Ann Ledford, step-son Jeff McCormack, great grandson Thomas Dunn and one brother Lewis Hamilton. She is survived by her husband Les of the home, two children: son John Boyce and wife Mary of Tulsa and daughter Janet Chilsom also of Tulsa, three step-children: step-daughter Raeleen Nelson and husband Joe of Michigan, step-son Gregory McCormack and wife Sherry of Kentucky and step-son Keith McCormack and wife Patty of Oklahoma City, twelve grandchildren and ten step-grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Church of God of Prophecy in Beggs with Pastor Randy Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Bixby Cemetery. Casket bearers are Johnny Boyce, Kyle McCormack, Brandan Welsh, Cody Ballard, George Milles and Joseph Boyce. Honorary casket bearers are Thomas Holdaway and John Boyce. Friends may see Mable at the Mcclendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 from 12 – 8 P.M. with the family present to greet guests from 6-8 P.M.
