Lonnie Lee Watts' Obituary
Lonnie Lee Watts, a longtime Morris resident, died Monday, March 22, 2021 in Tulsa at the age of 73. Lonnie was born in Morris on June 25, 1947 to Otto and Vera Paralee (Branscum) Watts. Lonnie grew up in Morris and graduated from Morris High School in 1965. Lonnie enlisted in the Navy where he served for 17 years, later serving in the Army Reserves. Lonnie married Helen Colberg in June of 1998. Lonnie worked for Deep Fork Community Action until his retirement. His family describes Lonnie as having an easy smile and having a great sense of humor. Lonnie was a very patriotic person and enjoyed the sound of classic country music. Lonnie was an avid reader and spent his time gardening, cooking and loved watching movies. Lonnie was a member a Masonic Lodge #199 AF & AM of Okmulgee.
Lonnie is preceded in death by his parents Otto and Vera, brothers Cecil James Watts and Rusty Watts. He is survived by his wife Helen, son Thomas Watts and wife Renee of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter Teresa Isenhower and husband Terry of Sapulpa, brother Willie Watts and wife Diane of Ohio, grandchildren Patrick ,Cathleen and Mason Watts, Jasmine Clem, Wesley Morrow, and Kailani Isenhower.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Baptist Church in Morris with Pastor Kendell Hamilton officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Trinity Baptist Church.
