Leta Willine Ryan's Obituary
Leta Willine Ryan, longtime Okmulgee resident, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in Tulsa at 85 years of age. She was born February 28, 1935 in Cushing to the late Boyce and Jeffie (Wasson) Gaston. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor Degree in Marketing Design. Willine married James E. Ryan on October 29, 1959 in Cushing. She was a legal secretary for several years prior to moving to Okmulgee. Willine was an active member of the Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights and Ladies of the Holy Sepulture and the Alter Society. She played golf and was a member of the Ladies Golf Association and the Okmulgee Country Club. Willine was very active in community organizations and cherished her time as a C.A.S.A. volunteer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Bernice Testerman. Survivors include her children, Stacey Ryan-James of Sapulpa, Kristey Ryan of Okmulgee and Patrick Ryan II of Okmulgee, grandchidren, Patrick Douglas Ryan III of Tulsa, Christopher Lee Ryan of New Jersey, Jacob Noble Grimmett of Okmulgee and Whitley Ann Grimmett of Okmulgee, nephews, Lyle Testerman and wife Linda of Stillwater and Eddie Testerman and wife Carolee of Cushing, a niece, Audine Cooper and husband Bucky of Ada and many great nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 10:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M.
A Private Family Rosary followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 20, 2020. Interment will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
