Leonard Wayne Frazier's Obituary
Funeral services for Leonard Wayne Frazier, 64, of Okmulgee, will be Thursday, September 27, at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Reverend Wayne Harjo will be officiating the services. Wake services will be Wednesday night from 6:00 – 8:00 PM., at McClendon-Winters Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Frazier was born on April 19, 1948, in Talihina, Oklahoma to Joe and Ruth Frazier. He died on September 23, 2012, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He attended schools at Ahloso; Connerville; McLish in Fittstown; Haskell in Lawrence, Kansas, and he received his Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He was also employed at Lloyd E. Rader in Sand Springs, and the Kialegee Tribal Town in Wetumka.
He and Nancy Jean Jackson were married on August 29, 1969. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2005. He was baptized at Blue Baptist Church in Connerville, Oklahoma on April 26, 1959.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Jean Frazier, his parents, Joe and Ruth Frazier, a brother, Derry Lee Frazier and two nieces, Layla Goodpasture and Jesse Frazier.
He is survived by six daughters, Traci Willie of Tahlequah, Chenoa Frazier and Tommy Johnson of Bristow, Tiffany and Cheyenne Frazier of Okmulgee, Reta Frazier of Weleetka, and Christie and Mark Williams of Henryetta: sixteen grandchildren, Douglas, Alia, Jerilyn, and Brenna Willie; Ariana Johnson; Kayman, Khamden, and Kameron Cloud; Kyleigh and Karissa Frazier; Kaelynn and Kheelen Walker, and Teagan Micco; Kaleb Harrison, Kellen and Amyah Williams, and one great grandchild, Ethan Willie.
He is also survived by six brothers, Joe and Jackie Frazier of Phoenix, Arizona, Nicky and Donna Frazier of Grants, New Mexico, Belvin and Cynthia Frazier of Muskogee, Willard and Sandra Frazier of Broken Bow, and Sherman and Robert Frazier of Ada; three sisters: Wanda and David Martin of Summerville, South Carolina, Sherry and Quanah Nail of Ada, and Neva and Ronald Bond of Ada; one aunt, Laura Jones of Oklahoma City; 17 nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.
Bearers and Honorary Bearers will be his nephews. Interment will be at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
