Leola Madeline Floyd's Obituary
Leola Madeline Floyd was born April 15, 1939 in Beggs, Oklahoma to the late Hester Green and Hattie Lorena (Watts) Floyd. She passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas at eighty three years of age.
Leola moved to Virginia in 1966 where she began a long career as a secretary for the U.S. Navy. She was an avid bowler from the time she moved to Virginia until 2010. She attended the Church of Christ and loved working at the church. Leola was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ray and Earl Floyd and a sister, Margaret Norton. Survivors include two brothers, Roy H. Floyd and wife Krisanna and Robert L. Floyd and wife Jennifer, three sisters, Fay Bothe and husband Dale, Jean Hess, and Iola Wood and husband Richard, twenty nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Beggs. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery.
