Lawrence Spillers' Obituary
Lawrence Jr. “Larry” Spillers, 87, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Highland Park Manor in Okmulgee. Larry was born June 12, 1929 in Picacho, New Mexico to the late Joe and Sallie (Moore) Spillers. He graduated from OSU Okmulgee and had a long career as an electronic engineer at Radio Inc. in Tulsa. He enjoyed tinkering with and fixing electronics. He loved watching old westerns and spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Larry loved his family and was a great friend. He was a faithful member of Northside Assembly of God.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Wanda Spillers and Laura Spillers-Mitchell and brothers, Lloyd Spillers and James Spillers.
Survivors include his children, Lawrence Alan Spillers of Sand Springs, Judy Spillers-Taylor of Preston, Ricky Dane Spillers of Omaha, Nebraska and Russell Eric Spillers of Oklahoma City, two grandsons, six granddaughters, and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Hanna Cemetery with Reverend James Van Hooser and Willie Joe Mitchell officiating officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
