Judy Ellen Jackson's Obituary
Judy Ellen Jackson, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 70. She was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on April 7, 1954, to Kenneth "Kelly" and Janet (Thompson) Bretz. Judy attended Pennsylvania Community College before moving across the country to pursue a Masters at Berkeley College. She also attended Victory Bible Institute, Victory World Training Missions Center and Oral Roberts School of Healing and Ministry. During this time, Judy became a licensed Minister.
Judy was no ordinary lady. She was a well-educated, vibrant individual that let nothing stand in her way. Judy worked as the Director of Social Services for the Tonto-Apachee Tribe in Arizona. She met her husband Wayne at a concert in Phoenix, Arizona. For three years they traveled from South Dakota to Arizona, starting nine Bible Schools. She taught. in a private school grade one through six on the Northern Ute Reservation. They were a part of A Church Plant and Revival.
The have lived in a variety of towns and cities across the United States. She lived between Cody, Wyoming and the East Gate which allowed her to hike and backpack through the Rockies. Judy also ran marathons, including San Francisco. Once moving back to the Okmulgee area, she continued serving others volunteering her time with her therapy dog, Sox, at local nursing homes. She was a volunteer along with her dog, at Preston School Reading Plans program. Judy also worked as a social worker at the Okmulgee-Okfuskee County Youth Services.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents Kelly and Janet.
She is survived by her husband Wayne, of twenty-seven years
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date.
