Joyce Elaine Shell's Obituary
Joyce Elaine Shell died Thursday, August 20, 2009 in Mesa, Arizona at the age of 74. She was born July 10, 1935 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to William Lester and Elsie May (Huckaby) Holland. Her family moved around a lot when she was a child but for the most part always returned to their home states of Oklahoma and Arkansas. Joyce
married at the age of 16 and moved to California. She spend most of her
life in California. Twenty years ago she moved to Bullhead City,
Arizona and resided there until three years ago when she relocated to Mesa so her
kids could take care of her.
She was preceded in passing by her mother Elsie Holland, father Lester
Holland, a sister Donna Faye and niece Sandra Ann.
Survivors include daughters, Kathryn Pedersen and Crystal Coll, a son Robert
Fryer, grandchildren William and Mark Pedersen, Valerie and Jessica Berry, and
Mackenzie Fryer and a great-grand daughter Cheyanne Pedersen. Also surviving are
sisters and brothers, Norma Wilkerson, Dorothy Standlee, Floyd Holland,
Dwayne Holland, Lavonne Jackson and Sharon Rucker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Beggs. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
