Jocibell "Billie" Brown's Obituary
Jocibell “Billie” Brown died in Okmulgee on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. She was 100 years and 5 days old. Billie was born in Maywood, Missouri on March 4, 1910 to Joseph L. and Bessie Belle (Lamont) Stevens. In 1977 Billie moved to Okmulgee from St. Louis. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening including flowers and trees, but she loved going fishing.
Billie was preceded in death by two husbands; George Forrest, and Thomas J. Brown, two sons; Theodore Forrest and Kenneth Forrest, one grandson and three great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters; Joida Heuston, and Ruth Russell and husband Jim both of Okmulgee, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee with Reverend Victoria Bonat officiating. Interment will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
