Jerry Don Gleason's Obituary
Jerry Don Gleason, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 28, 2017 at the age of 56. Jerry was born to James W. and Eva Faye (Lemaster) Gleason on Monday, February 6, 1961 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was an avid OU fan. Jerry worked for the Tulsa World in the ad department, retiring at an early age with heath problems. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Beggs, Oklahoma, where he was a trustee. Jerry loved the Beggs Demons and attended most of their ball games no matter the sport.
Jerry is survived by his parents, brother Rex Gleason and wife Celia of Beggs, sister Claudia Lee and husband Mike of Beggs, brother J.R. Gleason and wife Sue of Okmulgee, and sister Gwen Dodd and husband John of Beggs and an abundant of nieces and nephews who Jerry loved dearly.
A funeral service for Jerry will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, July 1, 2017 at the Church of Christ in Beggs, Oklahoma with Reverenced Bill Hamrick to officiate. Interment will follow at the Beggs cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bill Gaddy, Greg Gaddy, Steve Lemaster, Brandon Story, Todd Ikard, and Tommy Coale. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Branson, Joe Acree, and Glen Duck. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Beggs location from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
