Jannett Ruth Cross' Obituary
Jannett Ruth Cross passed away from this life on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama at the age of 72. Jannett was born on Sunday, December 15, 1946 to the late John and Maxine (Higgins) Bomar in Parma, Missouri. Jannett married Kenneth Cross in Tulsa on October 13, 1973. Jannett enjoyed doing upholstery work and working at fabric stores. In her spare time she would do cross word puzzles and make costumes for the kids. Jannett loved being outdoors and spending time with her pack of dogs and camping on the lake. Jannett and her husband traveled all across the United States. Preceding Jannett in death are her parents, sisters Diane Gibson, Lavette Bomar, and Judy Bomar.
Those left to cherish the wonderful memories of Jannett is her husband of 45 years Kenneth Cross, daughter Amanda Scott and husband Jerron, son David Cross and wife Mandi, son Charlie Cross and son Michael Cross, grandchildren Josie and Oliver Scott, and Dakota Pierce, siblings John Bomar, Joy Overton, Sam Bomar, and Jim Bomar.
A funeral service for Jannett will be held 10:00 am, Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Jubilee Christian Center with Pastor Dale Litsey officiating. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery. Friends may visit the Funeral Home in Beggs on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00pm-7:00p.m. to receive friends and family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
