Janet M. Nelson's Obituary
Janet was born September 28, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico to the Walter and Thelma (Wilmoth) Barnes. She married her husband Ronnie Nelson on December 24, 1971, this union produced three children. Janet was a strong, beautiful woman who overcame many obstacles in her life. Janet was an avid gardener, she liked going to bingo on Tuesday nights, and she could make the best hot rolls imaginable. Janet's greatest joy in life was her family and her little dog Peanut. Janet loved God and she believed strongly in the power of prayer. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her six sisters, granddaughter Gina Lynn Nelson and son-in-law Micheal D. Rivera. Janet is survived by her husband Ronnie Nelson, daughter Janette Rivera, son Ronnie Nelson Jr. and wife Shelli, son John Nelson and wife Angelic of Kansas, grandchildren: Jordan and Jeff McCaslin, Autumn and Izzy O'Connell, Miguel Rivera and fiance Taylor Neal, Zephariah Segress, Johnathan Nelson, Kandice Nelson and partner Patrick, Brandon Nelson, Bryanna Nelson and Ronnie Nelson, III, great grand kids: Eva Nelson, Averik McCaslin Vouste McCaslin. One sister and host of nieces, nephews and extended family members, friends, and also her beloved little dog Peanut. Janet will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
