James Perry's Obituary
On October 22, 1927, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, a baby boy was born to Raymond and Minnie Perry. They named him James.
James grew up in Beggs, Oklahoma. He attended Pleasant Hill School. He worked construction for many years and was also a long time security guard.
James accepted Christ at an early age. He was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church-South and attended faithfully and on the morning of December 30, 2009, the Lord dispatched his Angels to bring his Special Angel home to join his Mother, Father and son Joseph.
James was special to his family, church, friends and community. He was loved by all.
On October 4, 1997 James was united in blissful marriage to Wilma Jean Evans. They shared twelve wonderful years together.
Memories of James will be cherished by his loving wife, Wilma Perry, his children, sons: Leedel (Dainn), Kew, Bill (Faye) Williams and Charilie, his daughters: Natasha (Steffon) Wallace, Aundrea Robinson, Samantha Green, and Ramona Robinson, three sisters: Lizzie Cobb, Lucille Jones, and Aquilla Hawthorne, grandchildren: Kimberly, Jerome, Steffon Jr., Amelia, Anthony, Bobbie, Aundrea, Tina, Regina, Angel, and Alisha, ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church-South in Beggs. Interment will follow at the Beggs Cemetery. Pall Bearers are Steffon Wallace, Sr., Kew Naruenat, Jerome Davis, Anthony Walker, Steffon Wallace, Jr., and Bobby Hall. Honorary Pall Bearers are Herbert Henderson, Lenard Thompson, Jr., and Serenas Evans. Flower Bearers are Louise Goudeau, Charity Chatman, Pearlie Daniels, and Verna Barnes. Viewing will be at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs on Sunday, from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
