Iva Jean Miller's Obituary
Iva Jean Miller, age 95, passed away in Okemah, Oklahoma on January 6, 2023, just a few days shy of her ninety-sixth birthday. Iva was born to Orville and Bessie (Crum) Cline on January 15, 1927, in Antioch, Ohio.
Iva graduated from Pharaoh High School. After high school she become a licensed Cosmetologist. Iva and Doyal Miller were married at Durant Church on the Okmulgee-Okfuskee County line on November 26, 1945. After her marriage Iva became a homemaker but maintained her cosmetology license for many years.
Iva enjoyed the outdoors, she and her family camped and fished. She also loved gardening but mostly she cherished taking care of her nieces and nephews. Iva has been a sixty-year member of Grand Street Church of Christ where she was recognized for her dedication to teaching Sunday School for thirty years.
Iva is preceded in death by her husband Doyal Miller, son Ricky Miller, parents Orville and Bessie Cline, brother Bill Cline, Sr. and sisters-in-law Peggy Cline and Wanda Cline.
She is survived by her brother Max Cline, nephew Ronnie Cline and wife Cherry, niece Sherry Ray, nephew Bill Cline and wife Leresa, niece Diana Cline Bowen, nephew Cleo Miller and wife Beverly, nephew Robert Waite and family, great-nephews Chad Cruce and wife Amanda, Brandon Cline and wife Sarah, Brett Cline and wife Jessica, Chris Ray and wife Beverly, great-nieces Jenny Hunter and husband Ron, Hillary Bahling and husband Hadley, Ashley Roberts and husband Tony, Kelsey Bowen, great nephews Tanner Bowen, Randy Miller and family, and eighteen great-great nieces and nephews.
Viewing and visitation will be Monday, January 9, 2023, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Grand Avenue Church of Christ with Kevin Copeland officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
