Imo Hessom's Obituary
Imo Hessom, 88, died in Okmulgee on Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was born on July 13, 1922 in Schulter, Oklahoma to Jess Franklin and Myrtle (Cunningham) Brazell. Imo was married to Irving Howard “Skippy” Hessom. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting but cooking was by far her best thing. She was a member of Schulter Baptist Church.
Imo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Skippy, a daughter Deanna Lonsdale and a son Ricky Hessom.
She is survived by her sister Frances Ann Franklin of Morris, nephew Milo Franklin and wife Natasha of Morris, niece Sherry Craft and husband Carl of Henryetta, great nephew Joey Franklin of Okmulgee, great niece Tresia Franklin of Schulter, and three great great nephews: Nathan Franklin of Henryetta, Dylan Franklin of Henryetta, and Mason Franklin of Manford.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 4, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the McClendon-Winters Chapel with Paul Brown officiating. Friends may see Imo at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home on Thursday, February 3, 2011 from 10:00 – 8:00 P.M.
