Houston Spring's Obituary
Houston Soloman Spring, resident of Beggs, passed away in Tulsa on Sunday August 21, 2016 at the age of 74. He was born in Preston to the late Frank and Walsie Spring on July 21, 1942. Houston loved his job working in the oilfield. He was very creative and made carvings from sticks and stones as well as crafted feathers from deer horns . He also enjoyed playing with his grandkids, and telling them stories and jokes.
Houston is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Melinda Spring, brother Larry Spring, and sister Patricia Ann Spring.
Left to cherish his memory are daughter Patty King of Sapulpa, daughter Kim Schomp and husband Don of Borger, Texas, son Houston Shane Spring and wife Jessie of Beggs, brothers Frank Spring, John Spring, Donald Spring and David Spring, sister Barbara Scheirmann, grandchildren Sean King, Cheyenne Chute and husband Nick, Sierra Schomp, Lindsi Spring, and Dalton Spring, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Houston will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel of Okmulgee. Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday, August 24, from 1:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to McClendon-Winters Funeral Home.
