Helen Louise Baldridge's Obituary
Helen Louise Baldridge passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 in Okmulgee at 84 years of age. Louise was born December 13, 1935 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to the late Quincy Ray Brisco and Dorothy Elizabeth (Cagle) Brisco. She graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1953. Louise married Reverend Willis Baldridge on December 27, 1965 in Poteau. Louise was a licensed Pentecostal Holiness Minister and together with her husband, they ministered for over 40 years. She served as Choir Director, Pianist, Sunday School Teacher and led Bible Study, which she loved and continued after her husband’s passing. They served as pastors of Crosstown Pentecostal Holiness Church in Okmulgee for 23 years as well as serving other churches.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband Reverend Willis Baldridge in 2006 and a brother, Ray Brisco.
Survivors include her daughter, Helen Raye Dixon and husband Fred Dixon, Jr., grandson, Dyrl Dixon and wife Angelia, great grandchildren, Samantha Dixon and Dyrl Dixon, Jr., a sister, Wanda Mason, many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.
A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverends Jonathan Hanshaw and Ronald Baldridge officiating. Honorary Casketbearers will be Mark Baldridge, Lee Riker, Steve Baldridge, Phillip Wright, Doug Penn and Marty Ballard.
