Hazel Pauline Choate's Obituary
Hazel Pauline Choate died in Okmulgee on Monday, May 10, 2010. She was 84 years of age. Hazel was born in Woodville, Oklahoma on June 16, 1925 to Steve and Minnie Hyacinth (Collins) Brooks. She married Gordon Choate in Arkansas. Hazel worked as a school teacher and enjoyed collecting antiques.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon on September 8, 2005 and a brother Claude Brooks.
Hazel is survived by her son John Breedlove of Okmulgee, daughter Susan Breedlove of Broken Arrow, daughter Sharon Tomaney and husband Jim of Oklahoma City, granddaughter Sarah Pettet and husband Thomas also of Oklahoma City, brother John P. Brooks and brother James Brooks both of Okmulgee.
Services will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel in Okmulgee with Heritage Hospice Chaplain Reverend Victoria Bonat officiating. Interment will follow at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Friends may see Hazel on Thursday from 12:00-8:00 P.M.
