Grace Carey's Obituary
Grace Woods Carey, 93, was born August 1, 1916 and died Friday May 28, 2010 at the Baptist Village in Okmulgee surrounded by her family .
Grace was a long-time resident of Okmulgee, owner of Carey Furniture Co and long time member of the First Baptist Church of Okmulgee.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Carey, her son Reagan Carey, her sisters, Billy Slocum and Lillian Adams and her brothers Odas Woods and Willard Woods.
She is survived by three grand children, Matt Carey of Atlanta, GA., Michael Carey of Westminster, CO, and Jessica Carey of Hudson, OH , three great grandchildren, Hadley Grace Carey, Jason Alexander Dement, and Harper London Carey, nieces, Carolyn Robinson, Betty Ann Rogers, Sharon Delap, Peggy Wilson, and Donna Woods, nephews Joe Adams, Billy Ray Traywick, Robert Woods, Larry Woods, and George Woods and many grand nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee on Tuesday June 1 at 10:00 am with Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery.
