Gloria Louise Laub's Obituary
Gloria Louise Laub, lifelong Okmulgee County resident, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 in Okmulgee at ninety five years of age. Gloria was born October 20, 1926 in Schulter to the late William K. and Mary Louise (Beugin) Patterson. She graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1944 and worked at Oklahoma Natural Gas for several years. Gloria married Donald Anthony “Don” Laub on September 17, 1955 in Okmulgee. She worked at the Okmulgee County Election Board in the 1980’s. In the early years of their marriage Don and Gloria enjoyed dancing and entertaining. Gloria enjoyed traveling, bird watching, and shopping. She was involved in her children’s school activities and loved cooking for her family and their friends. Gloria was an avid University of Oklahoma Fan and was especially proud of the Girl’s Softball Team. She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where she had been involved with the Alter Society for many years. She was a former member of the Okmulgee Service League and Sesame Club.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Ginger Wells, a brother, Bill Patterson and a sister-in-law, Pat Patterson.
Survivors include her children, Lori Laub and Don Laub and wife Connie and a granddaughter, Margaret Elizabeth Niehoff.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 18, 2022 at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Father Kenneth J. Harder officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Anthony’s Food Pantry.
