Gladys Marie Hudson's Obituary
Gladys Marie Hudson, 95, died in Okmulgee on Monday, February 14, 2011. Gladys was born in Okemah on December 6, 1915 to Everett and Molly (Lane) Snelson. On December 14, 1935 she married Ray Hudson. Gladys enjoyed doing yardwork and she loved taking care of children, her own as well as those not hers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Hudson, a son Ray E. Hudson, and son-in-law Leon Perryman.
Gladys is survived by one daughter Reba J. Perryman of Preston, one son Jerry D. Hudson and wife Pat of Preston, seven grandchildren: Deborah On-The-Hill and husband Levi of Natura, Jodey Lynn Campbell of Preston, Dea Wilson of Okmulgee, Sonia Lamb of Okmulgee, Mary Ducota and husband Joe of Okmulgee, Jerry RB. Hudson of Preston, and Tricia Hudson of Preston, sixteen great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, two brothers: Elmer Snelson and Robert Snelson and three sisters: Alta Mae Holloway and husband Ray, Ruth Endres, and Barbara McNabb and husband Pete.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Friends may view Gladys at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee on Wednesday from 1:00 – 8:00 P.M.
