Georgia Naoma Waggoner's Obituary
The full and beautiful life of Georgia Naoma Waggoner of Morris, Oklahoma, came to an end on Monday December 13, at 1:50 p.m. when she went to Heaven to be with Grandpa, after losing her battle with Vascular Dimentia.
Georgia was born in Houston, TX. On March 17, 1923. She graduated from Cypress High School in Fairbanks, Tx. In 1940. Was married to the one and only love of her life, Mr. Cecil C. Waggoner, in Tacoma, Washington on June 24th, in 1941, who passed in May of this yr. , 1 month before their 70th anniversary. She will always be deeply loved by those who knew her.
Resident of the county for more than 50 yrs. Georgia was a Majors wife retired from the Army in 1961 and then she retired as a medical lab technician in Okmulgee. They loved traveling and have been to South America some 16 times, collecting bromeliads and orchids. Which have all but a few been donated to the Beaumont Botanical Gardens, of which they were lifetime members. They were active members of the Bromeliad Society with much reward, for decades. They were members of the Episcopal Church . While they weren’t on safari, they were very successful wih their cattle ranch in Morris, Oklahoma.
Georgia is survived by; daughter, Shirleen Waggoner of Goshen, Arkansas, son, Gary Waggoner of Morris, Oklahoma, granddaughter, Kimberly Waggoner-Filsmyer and grandson-in-law Lee of Morris, Oklahoma and great grand-daughter Brittany Huddleston and great grand son-in-law David, of Heidlburg, Germany, great grand son Alexander Elijah Renfrow of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and great grand son Derek Filsmyer of Grove, Oklahoma, and numerous loving friends and family around the country.
Please join us in celebrating the life of Georgia Naoma Waggoner at the Okmulgee Cemetery for graveside services on Tuesday, December 20th , at 2:00 p.m.
