Gale Franklin Evans' Obituary
Gale Franklin Evans, 71, longtime resident of Okmulgee died in Okmulgee on Monday, December 19, 2011. He was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on March 2, 1940 to Frank and Goldie Pearl (Thompson) Evans. He graduated high school and attended Oklahoma State University Tech in Okmulgee and worked in appliance repair, retiring from the H.L. Moss Company in Tulsa. He married Linda Kay Acord October 16, 1971. He was a member of the Living Way Tabernacle Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers Glenn Dale Evans and Darrel Wayne Evans.
Survivors include his wife Linda of the home, a son Bradley A. Evans of the home, two sisters Shirley and husband Wayne Miller of Claremore, OK and Barbara and husband Bill Drummond of Gore, OK, other relatives and many friends.
Services for Gale will be Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 10:30 am at the McClendon-Winters Chapel with Rev Jerry Lout and Rev. Dale Copeland officiating. Burial will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery all under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wednesday 2-8 pm; the family will be available at the funeral home on Wednesday 5-7 pm. Condolences may be made at mcclendon-winters.com.
